Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar made for the merchant, "Lipscomb & Somerville, Staunton, VA." 
 
This beauty was made by A. P. Donaghho of Parkersburg, W.V.  Donaghho ran his pottery in Parkersburg from 1874-1900. 
 
This jar features the Tooled and Grooved Rim to Facilitate Tying a Cover Over the Top, and Stenciled Merchant Name and Address in Bright Cobalt Blue. Stands 9 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A glaze run on the front and mottling in the glaze in the making.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
