Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Decorated 1 Gallon Jar.  
 
The clay color and the decoration indicates that this jar was made in Strasburg, Virginia.
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features a carefully tooled rim for ease of affixing a waxed paper or cloth covering, and Three Strasburg Leaf Decorations.  Stands 9 1/2" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip inside the rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A small 1/8" stone ping on the side and slightly oval at the top in the making.
