Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this early and large 3 Gallon Ovoid Jug with Fish. 
 
It is attributed to Jonathan Fenton of Boston, Massachusetts in the late 18th century.  
 
This beauty features a Large Size, Ovoid Shape, Tooled Shoulder, and Inscribed Fish with Cobalt Fill.  Stands 16" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Some manufacturing imperfections: chip around the top of the spout, small kiln touch on the fish's jaw, a large chip below the fish's tail, and stone ping to the left of the handle.  No post-manufacture damage.
