Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."   
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Bullet Shape, Tooled Spout, and the Company Advertising in Four Lines on the Front.  Stands 11 3/8" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  Some chipping on the back of the spout (closeups), two chips at the base (1/2", 3/4"). and some light staining from use.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
