Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canningn Jar that reads, "From James Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features Four Top Stripes and Two Bottom Stripe Framing the Company Advertising Framed by Vertical Dashes.   Stands 8 1/4" tall. 
 
One of the best James Hamilton Wax Sealers out there. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles and four contiguous 1/4" chips inside the rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
