Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 5 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Hamilton and Jones, Agents, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Tooled Squared Rim, Tooled Shoulder, the Company Advertising Surrounding a Rising Sun and Framed by Ferns, and a Capacity Number framed by Leaves.  Stands 16 1/2" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  A small hairline on the back bottom that is 2" horizontal, 2" vertical and wraps under 2" (closeup).  That's it! No chips, cracks, stains, or restoration
