Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 4 Gallon Stoneware Jar made and stamped by McKenzie & Jackson, Beaver, PA. 
 
This is the mark of Hamilton McKenzie and Thomas Jackson who ran their pottery in Beaver in the 1870s and 1880's. 
 
This beauty sports a Thick Squared Rim, Applied Handles with Cobalt Accent at the Terminals, the Pottery Stamp, and a Pair of Brushed Cobalt Tulips on the Front.  The artistry is skilled and the cobalt strong.  Stands 14" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Water glass staining inside and traces outside, two small chips inside the rim (1/8", 3/8"), a chip outside the rim above the right handle (7/8"), and a chip under the left handle (1").  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
