Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Outstanding 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration stamped "H. MYERS"
Henry Myers was a merchant who ran a Stoneware Manufactory in Baltimore, Maryland in the 1820's. The pottery was operated by the New York trained Henry Remmey and his son, Henry Harrison Remmey.
Dating around 1825, this beauty features an a Squared Rim, the Pottery Stamp, and a Floral Garland all the way around. The garland is composed of a leaving vine with four upright blossoms. Stands 8 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A few minor nibbles and 1/4" chip on the footer. No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. The rim is slightly out of round and stone ping on the footer in the making.
