Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made and stamped by "J. Clark & Co., Troy."

 

This is the stamp of John Clark who ran his pottery with this stamp from 1826 to 1828.  His business partners were Curtis Wilbur and Horace Humiston (Warren Broderick and William Bouck, Pottery Works: Potteries of New York State's Capital District and Upper Hudson Region, pp. 124-126). 

 

This beauty sports a Cream Pot Form with Tall Rim, Tooled Shoulder, Applied Handles with Cobalt Accents at the Handle Terminals, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Plant.  Measures 9 3/4" tall and 7 3/4" wide across the top.   

 

Very Good Condition.  Six chips around the outside of the rim (1/8" to 3/4").  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
