Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "J. Burger, Jr., Rochester, N.Y."
 
This is the work of John Burger, Jr. who ran the pottery in Rochester from 1880-1890 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
This beauty features the Oval Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and the Freehand "2" Capacity Number Within a Wreath.  All the decoration was executed with precision using a slip cup.  Measures 19" tall and 10" wide across the top. 
 
Excellent Condition.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
