Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "I. Seymour, Troy."
 
This is the mark of Israel Seymour who ray a pottery in Troy, N.Y. under this stamp from 1837-1852 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66)
 
This beauty sports an Ovoid Form and the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash. Stands 11 5/8" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition. Three chips on the spout (1/8" to 3/8"), two short surface lines on the back bottom (2 1/2", 3 1/2" that wrap under 1" & 1 1/2" respectively--closeup), and some light staining on the back. No base chips, cracks, or restoration.
