Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Haxstun, Ottman & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of Andrew K. Haxstun and William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1867-1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Freehand Bird on a Branch Decoration.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A shallow chip on the right side of the spout from separation from the one above in kiln in the making (closeup).  That's it!  No post-manufacture chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
