Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 1 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, PA from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising Accented by Leaves in the Middle. Stands 9 3/4" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Couple nibbles and two chips in the inner rim (1/4", 1/2"), a series of small chips inside the outer rm (1/4" or less), and a 1" chip outside the rim in the back.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Mottled glaze and convex on the bottom in the making (rocks a bit when first set down).
