Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising in an Arch Surrounding a Floral Blossom and Accented at the Top by Tulilps and at the bottom by Leaves. Stands 10" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip inside the rim, and modest wear to the surface. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Slightly concave on one side of the underside in the making.
