Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Canning Jar from "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising Surrounding an Oversized Ampersam (&).  Stands 10 1/4" tall.  
 
Good Condition.  A 4" hairline on the left side bottom wrapping under 1 1/2" (where the stain is).  Some faint marker writing on the bottom.  No chips, cracks, or restoration.
 
Ships double-boxed, insured, and FREE.
