Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "Haidle & Zipf, Union Pottery, Newark, N.J."  
 
This is the stamp of Conrad Haidle and his partner, J. Zipf, who ran this pottery together in Newark from 1875=1877 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 82).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp, Freehand Capacity Number, and Two Brushed Cobalt Tulips. Stands 11" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Light staining from use.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Some fine bubbles in the thicker parts of the cobalt in the making.
