Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this exquisite 6 3/4" Wax Sealer Fruit Jar stamped "Greensboro."
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Tooled Rim with Groove for Sealing the Contents with Wax, a Stripe Below the Rim, the Company Address on the Shoulder, and a Cluster of 3 Cherries in the Middle. Stands 6 3/4" tall.
As you know, this is a fruit jar not often seen, especially in the Pint Size.
Very Good Condition. Restoration on a narrow 2" chip on the inner rim (closeup). No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
