Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Top and Bottom Stripe Framing the Company Advertising in the Middle.  Strong Cobalt.  Stands 10" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition. A 3/4"chip on the outside of the rim, and a 1" chip at the base.  No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
