Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Superb 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock with Parrot on a Plume made and stamped by "F. B. Norton, Worcester, Mass."

This is the mark of Franklin Norton during the period of 1876-1886 ("The F. B. Norton Pottery: Stoneware of Every Description." Worcester Historical Museum, 1980-1981).

This beauty features a Semi-Squared Rim, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Large Parrot on a Plume Decoration.  This was one of Norton's signature decorations and is typically found with gorgeous cobalt like this crock exhibits.  This larger size crock allows the parrot to be 8" tall from head to tail!  The plume matches the parrot in large size.  Measures 10 1/2" tall and 11 1/4" across the top.

Excellent Condition.  Some trace water glass staining inside, a couple 1/8" nibbles inside the rim, and a 3/8" glaze flake near the bottom on the right side.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, outer stains, or restoration.
