Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this early 3 Gallon Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "G. Heiser, Buffalo, N.Y."  
 
This is the mark of Godfrey Heiser who ran a pottery in Buffalo from 1835-1848 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).  
 
This beauty features the Early Ovoid Shape, Clear Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Tree with Ground Cover.  Stands 15" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Four chips on the spout (1/4" to 1/2), a narrow 3/4" chip and nibbles around the base, and scattered light staining from use.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
