    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 1 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "Fulper Bros., Flemington, N. J."

     

    This is the mark of George Fulper and his brothers who ran the family pottery under this arrangement from 1881-1898 (see M. Lelyn Branin, The Early Makers of Handcrafted Earthenware and Stoneware in Central and Southern New Jersey, pp. 132-137).

     

    This beauty features a Strong Pottery Stamp and a Brushed Cobalt Flower. The flower features four leaves and a simple blossom.  Measures 7 3/4" tall and 8 1/4" wide across the top.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Three chips inside the rim (1/4" to 1"), and some light, overall staining.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A stone ping in the front bottom left in the making.
