Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Merchant Script Jug made for "Froehlich & Koehler, Newark, N.J."
Circa 1890, this beauty features an Earlier Salt Glaze, and Large Size Script in Three Lines Executed in Dark and Shiny Cobalt. The first line wraps around the jug a full 17"! Imposing in person. Stands 13 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A narrow 1/4" chip inside the spout and some modest staining near the base. No outer spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
