Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Evan R. Jones, Pittston, Pa."
 
Jones potted in Pittston in the 1870's and 1880's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 34-37).
 
This beauty features the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Large Freehand Brushed Cobalt Tulip Executed in Vibrant Cobalt.  Measures 10 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble on the spout back by the handle, and some surface wear from use. That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. 
 
A jug is not a typical form for Evan Jones and here is a very attractive example for you!
