Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this very nice 4 Quart Batter Jug made and stamped by "E. W. Farrington, Elmira , N.Y."

 

This is the mark of E. Ward Farrington who ran the family's pottery under this stamp from 1887-1893 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).

 

This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp and Original Bail Handle.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.

 

Very Good Condition.  Minor nibbles and a 3/4" chip on the spout.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Two stone pings inside the rim and two to the left of the spout in the making.
