Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Churn from the Midwest.

Circa 1880, this beauty features a Fancy Decoration Running Down the Front.  A large freehand capacity number "3" at the top is underscored by "cat's whiskers", a single P and target found on Red Wing pieces, and a tail with 6 leaves.  Most unusual.  Stands 14 1/2" tall.  Comes with a period churn guide.

Excellent Condition. A dime-size spot of glaze loss on the back to the left center, a 3/8" chip on the bottom edge, and some scattered lightly staining.  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The churn guide has a tight hairline from the rim toward the center opening.  No chips.
