    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock from the Midwest (probably Ohio).

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features Freehand Decoration to Include a Capacity Number with Four Graduated Underscores and a Flower with Two Leaves and a Blossom with Four Petals.  The decoration is applied with a slip cup and with the detail of Rochester, NY decoration, includiing the internal veining of the decoration.  Measures 11" tall and 10" wide across the top.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Two shallow chips under the right handle (1/4", 1/2") and some isolated small stains from use.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Fine bubbles in the cobalt in the making.
