Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this early 2 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jar from the Northeastern USA
 
Circa 1840, this beauty features an Ovoid Form, Tooled Rim, a Brushed Cobalt Leaf on Each Side, Tooled Footer, and Applied Handles with Cobalt Accents on the Handle Terminal.  Measures 12 3/4" tall and 9" wide across the top.
 
Excellent Condition. A 1" chip on the footer.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Slightly out-of-round on top in the making.
