Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Ovoid Jug from New York or the Northeast.
Circa 1830, this beauty features an Ovoid Form, Stamped Capacity Number with Cobalt Wash, and an Incised Flower with Two Leaves and a Blossom with Three Petals-- all Filled with Cobalt. Stands 13 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 1/4" chip on the base of the handle, some surface wear, and a finely drilled hole in the bottom center. No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
