Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Cream Pot made and stamped by "C. W. Braun, Buffalo, N.Y."
This is the mark of Charles W. Braun who ran the old Heiser pottery in Buffalo from 1857-1896 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 75).
Dating around 1860, this beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Folk Art Floral Carnation Executed with a Slip Cup. The floral has two leaves and a blossom with seven Petals. Line and dot accents throughout the decoration. Measures 12" tall and 11" wide.
Excellent Condition. A minor 1/8" nibble on the rim and some scattered light stains from use. That's it! No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
