Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Syrup Jug.

 

This little guy is the work of F. H. Weeks who ran his pottery in Akron, Ohio from the early 1870's and in partnership with his brother in the late 1870's (F. Robert Treichler, A History of Northeast Ohio Stoneware, pp. 51-52).

 

This beauty features a Fancy Swirl Paneled Sides and Gorgeous Blue and White Sponging.  Stands only 5 5/8" tall.

 

Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" ping line on top of the rim. Otherwise, as made.
