Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 10" Blue and White Spongeware Bowl.

It was made around 1900 by the Pfaltzgraff Company of York, Pennsylvania.  It was part of a nesting set and may be nearly the largest bowl in the set.

This beauty has a double rim so that a covering can be tied over the top, four heart-shaped panels around the outside, tall footer, and a rich and controlled cobalt sponging that resembles puzzle pieces.  As most of these larger bowls are, this one is slightly out of round: 4 1/2" tall and 10" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition.  A sing.e 1/2" chip on the rim from some impurities in the clay (closeup).  That's it!  No other rim chips or any base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.   Lightly used.
