Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Beer Pitcher made by Whites of Utica featuring a Stag Hunt.

Made about 1900, this beauty features Two Hunters with their Trophy Stag on One Side and Two Stags in the Meadow on the Other. Detailed trees and grass provide the background. The handle looks like a tree limb and a small stag head resides under the spout to tie the decoration together.  A German phrase is inscribed at the top on both sides. Exceptionally crisp details and cobalt blue shading.

This is the middle of the three sizes, measuring only 7" tall at the spout.

Excellent Condition. A flat 1/2" chip on the top of the rim by the handle (closeup 1) and a few scattered pinhead-size nibbles.  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the handle and three small kiln touches below one hunter (closeup 2) in the making.
