Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and Cream Yellow Ware Striped Butter Crock with Original Lid.
Dating around 1900 to 1920, this beauty features a Cream-Colored Glaze with Double-Rolled Rim and Three Center Pastel Blue Center Stripes. The lid sports a raised stripe with the matching blue. Very, very attractive butter crock. Measures 4 1/2" tall and 7 1/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. The base is as made. No damage. The lid has a 1/4" chip on the edge, two chips on the underside at the edge (1/4", 1/2"), and a 1" line at the edge to the stripe that is surface only. No other apologies. Some roughness on the side of the seating ring appears to be in the making when it was taken out of the mold.
At the time of this listing I have two sizes of this butter crock, this one being the larger of the two.
