Item 6887
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Coffee Pot made for the Faust Blend of the Blanke's Tea Company of St. Louis, Missouri.
It was made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y. between 1890 and 1907 when they made their fancy blue-gray molded stoneware.
This beauty features a Cylindrical Form with Tabbed Top to Hold the Domed Lid, Short Spout Typical of Coffee Pots, Fancy Handle, and Overall Elaborate Embossed Background. The lid reads, "Blanke's Drip Coffee Pot" and the body features Faust pointing to "Faust Blend" on each side accented with cobalt. Additional Cobalt accents on the front of the spout and sides of the handle. Includes the original cloth filter! Stands 9 1/4" to the top of the finial.
Excellent Condition. An 1/8" nibble on the tip of the spout and a shallow 1/4" flake on top of the spout on the right side. Otherwise as made. It would be hard to find a better example.
This piece came to me at a show and came from the lady's family where it spent a couple generations unused in a china cabinet.
