Item 11795
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Coffee Pot made for the Faust Blend of the Blanke's Tea Company of St. Louis, Missouri.
It was made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y. between 1890 and 1907 when they made their fancy blue-gray molded stoneware.
This beauty features a Cylindrical Form with Tabbed Top to Hold the Domed Lid, Short Spout Typical of Coffee Pots, Fancy Handle, and Overall Elaborate Embossed Background. The lid reads, "Blanke's Drip Coffee Pot" and the body features Faust pointing to "Faust Blend" on each side accented with cobalt. Additional Cobalt accents on the front of the spout and sides of the handle. Stands 9 1/2" to the top of the finial.
This is a marriage. The lid looks great on the pot, but is designed for the version of this coffee pot in which the lid is attached to a pewter handle attached to the ceramic one.
Very Good Condition. One tab to hold the lid is missing, and the other chipped. A 1/4" chip at the base. No outer rim or spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. The lid has a hairline from the outer edge to the finial, and three chips on the seating ring on the underside (1/4" to 1/2"). No edge chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
