Item 9245
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful example of the Bardwell's Root Beer Mug made by the Whites of Utica Pottery.
Dating around 1900, this beauty is a wonderful example of the skill that the Whites Pottery had gained in molded stoneware.
Each side features a large shield on a beaded background framed with delicate grapevines. On the front the shield has the advertising "Bardwell's Root Beer." On the back the shield has a Medallion with a profile of what I assume is Mr. Bardwell. All the detail is sharp and crisp.
Excellent Condition. A tiny pinhead-size nibble on the top of the rim on the back side. That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
