Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this great Tophat Wax Sealer Canning Jar made and stenciled by "A. P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, W. Va."   

 

It was made by A. P. Donaggho of Parkersburg, WV (1874-1900).  It is named a tophat because upside down it looks like a Civil War period man's hat!

 

This beauty features the "Tophat" Form, Wax Sealer Opening, and the Company Stencil on a Diagonal Across the Front.  Stands 5 1/2" tall.

 

Good Condition.  Chipping around the inside of the top rim, and a 1/2" chip on the bottom in the back.  No inner rim or outside the top rim, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
