Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this handsome Decorated 5 Gallon Stoneware Crock.

The decoration on this crock makes it is easy to attribute to William and Charles Wingender of Haddonfield, N.J.  They ran the pottery in Haddonfield from 1883 to 1923. This is an earlier work as its salt glaze and cobalt brushed decoration attest.

This beauty features a Brushed Dangling Floral on the Front and Back, one of Wingender's signature decorations. The flower dangles from a vine and has the look of a strawberry,  It is executed in a very bright cobalt blue.  Additional cobalt outlines both handles.  Measures 14" tall and 12" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition.   Some water glass rings inside, and a 7/8" chip under the rim on one side.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
