Item 11435
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks are Two Brass Stencils.
Circa 1900, these are the kind of stencils you would use for putting the cobalt on a crock before firing and numbers and designs on crates and other shipping containers.
The small stencil is a Double Cluster of Grapes. Measures 6 1/2" long and 5 3/4" wide.
The large stencil is a real rare gem. The outer band of cutouts are the alphabet. The inner band of cutouts are the numbers 0-9 and the following: 1/4, 1/2, lbs, Yds, $, and '. The moveable arm in the middle allows you to stencil whatever letters, numbers, or symbols you need.
Condition. The smaller stencil exhibits normal usage. The "wheel fortune" stencil has some soldered repairs and some small breaks.
