Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Cream Pot whose from and decoration indicate that it was made by Edward and Thomas Edmands who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts from 1852-1868 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).

 

This beauty features the Cream Pot Form with Tall Neck and Bulbous Base, and a Brushed Cobalt Floral.  The floral  has four leaves and a blossom with five petals.  A simple, but impressive decoration! Stands 11" tall.

 

Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the right handle.  Otherwise, as made!  Some surface drying/firing lines on the underside in the making.
