Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Pair of Wise Bird Tumblers.

They were made by the Brush Pottery (formerly Brush-McCoy until 1925).  It was part of their "Wise Birds" Line introduced in 1927.  It was advertised as "A New Line of 'Purse-Openers' for Every Store Everywhere."  The original ad and some of the pieces in this line are pictured above (Martha and Steve Sanford, The Guide to Brush-McCoy Pottery, pp. 124-125)

These beauties feature a Finely Molded Owl Peering Out of a Hollow in a Tree.  The tumblers sport a molded bark surface and the pastel colors of the period.  Stand 4" tall.   Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
