Item 12126
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Blue and White Pitcher in the Grape Cluster on Rickrack Pattern with Sponging.
This pitcher features a rickrack background from which clusters of grapes hang. As you can see, the mold lines and color on this example are extraordinary. Even more extraordinary is the sponging on the Grapes and Grapevine. Very hard to find pattern. Stands 9" tall.
You can see this piece in Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 43-45.
Excellent Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. Surface clay fold to the right of the spout in the making.
