Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Top and Bottom Stripe that Frame the Company Advertising Surrounding a Fancy Center Floral.  Stands 14 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. As made.  No damage. A drying/firing line at the underside of the handle in the making (closeup).
