Coming to you from Doc's Crocks these two Stoneware Jars made by A. P. Donaghho of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Donaghho ran his pottery in Parkersburg from 1874-1900.
The jar on the left is a wax sealer with Crisp and Complete Stenciled Advertising. Stands 10" tall.
Very Good Condition. A narrow 1" chip in the inner rim and a 1/2" chip on the top rim, and five 1/4" or less chips on the bottom ridge of the tooled rim. No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A run of Albany slip glaze from when it was added to the interior before firing.
The jar to the right is a true jar with Open Tooled Rim for Tying a Cover Over. Stands 9 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A single 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge. Otherwise, as made.
