Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Salt Glaze Stein with Pewter Lid.

The decoration on this stein leads me to attribute it to the German immigrants William and Charles Wingender of Haddonfield, N.J. They ran the pottery in Haddonfield from 1883 to 1923. This is an earlier work as its salt glaze and cobalt brushed decoration attest.  This explains the German decoration but American lid with eagle.

This beauty features Two Molded Bands, the Dangling Fruit Decoration, and Pewter Lid with Eagle.  Stands 6" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A narrow 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge.  Otherwise as made.  The lid is slightly lose on the handle from use.
