Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar whose decoration indicates that it was made by A. P Donaghho of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
A. P. Donaghho made stoneware in Parkersburg from 1874-1900.
This beauty features an Uncommon 1/2" Gallon Size with a Fancy Tire Tread or Zipper Decoration made of Dashes, Diamonds, and Dots. I can find only one other example of a tread/zipper on a 1/2 gallon jar by this maker. Stands 7 3/4" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. Some chips on the underside edge from separation after firing in the kiln.
