Item 12044

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Decorated Jar.

Its decoration indicates that it was made William H. Lehew who ran his pottery in Strasburg, Virginia in the 1860's and 1870's.

This beauty has a Broad Brim with Recessed Groove for Fastening a Cover Over the Top, and Four Brushed Cobalt Floral Blossoms around the Middle.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A very faint 2" vertical hairline at the base that wraps under 2" through 1/2" chip on the underside (closeup).  That's it!  No rim chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 1/2" stone peering out from the bottom of one flower in the making.
