Item 4941
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Batter Pitcher with Lid.
It was made by Brush McCoy in 1925 (Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I, p. 38).
This beauty features an Angular Form with the Center Band Vertical and the Top and Bottom Tapering Inward. The handle copies the angles of the pitcher. Light Rockingham glaze over yellow. Comes with the original lid! The pitcher without the lid stands 6 1/8" tall.
Excellent Condition. The pitcher is as made. No damage of any kind. The lid has an 1/8" flake under the portion that covers the spout, and a 1/4" flake under the rim on the side. That's it!
Would be difficult to find a better example.
