Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Large 3 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "L. & B. G. Chace, Somerset." 
 
This is the work of Leonard and Benjamin G. Chace who worked in Somerset, Massachusetts from 1847-1882 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 51). 
 
This beauty features a Large Size, Ovoid Form, Capacity Number "3" Stamped 5 Times, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Deep Cobalt Floral that Embraces the Pottery Stamp.  Stands 15" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  A 3/8" chip on the right side and some staining from use.  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
