    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this unusual One Gallon Jug marked "Albany, N.Y."  This mark and the decoration indicate that it was probably made by the pottery of R. O'Connell of Albany, N.Y. circa 1860. 

     

    This beauty features a the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Fancy Floral with Center Circle with 6 Dots Surrounded by Four Circles with Large Interior Dots with Fleur de Lis in Between.  Very Thick Cobalt.  Stands 12" tall.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the spout on the right side back by the handle and some light staining from use.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Some bubbling in the cobalt in the making.
